Dodgers offence is silent once more in a defeat to the Rockies despite Tony Gonsolin's comeback.

Tony Gonsolin's welcome return turned into a showcase for the Dodgers bullpen,

which limited the Rockies to just one run over the course of eight innings.

For the Dodgers bullpen, which limited the Rockies to just one run over the course of eight innings. But in Colorado's 2-1 victory over Los Angeles on Monday night at Dodger Stadium, that one run was sufficient.

After using eight relievers, the Dodgers didn't give up a run until the ninth,

when Brusdar Graterol gave UCLA's Sean Bouchard and Michael Toglia singles; the latter scored the first with a single with two outs.

Bouchard doubled twice in addition to the single in the ninth inning, giving him four doubles in the previous two games.

With those two hits in the ninth inning, Jake Bird, a fellow UCLA product who pitched two innings, emerged victorious.
